Kevin Shah is a Chartered Accountant currently practicing in the field of Goods and Service Tax Laws and Customs as also in the erstwhile Central Excise Laws, Service Tax Laws having more than 11 years of working experience. He has assisted industry stalwarts for a prolonged period thereby galloping enriching experience in the field of indirect taxes before venturing into private practice. He has conceptualized the implication of GST, Central Excise, Service Tax on practical as well as procedural aspects of business thereby conducting due diligence, health check-up w.r.t to indirect taxes and providing lucrative solutions.
He is regularly representing many cases before various statutory authorities including Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT). He assists various counsels for several cases before High Courts and Superme Court of India.
He has authored two books namely “Compliances of GST/Service Tax in Banking Sector” & “Background Material on Service tax – Entertainment Sector” published by ICAI. He is an active member of the Indirect tax Committee of IMC (Indian Merchant Chambers) and Indirect tax Committee of ICAI.
He regularly writes editorials for forums like Bombay Chartered Accountants Association, Taxindiaonline.com, GST Law Times etc. and has also contributed to WIRC Reference Manual 2013-14 & 2016-17 for topics relating to indirect taxes.
He regularly provides training programs to CBEC officials at National Academy of Central Excise and Narcotics [NACEN – Training school for CBEC Officials] on topics in relation of GST, Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax. He is a visiting faculty on various forums and corporates.
Deep Shah is a Law Graduate from Mumbai University. He practices mainly in the field of IPR, Arbitration and Tax. He has more than 5 years’ of work experience in the field of Tax Laws. He was previously working with big law firms like Mulla and Mulla and Cragie Blunt and Caroe before venturing into private practice. He has vast variety of experience in the field of Tax, IPR, Arbitration and Litigation.
He has appeared independently in many trademark related matters and assisted Senior Counsels on numerous matters related to Taxation, Arbitration and Trademarks. He regularly represents many cases before various statutory authorities including Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), Trademark Registry, NCLT and Bombay High Court. He has also assisted various Senior Counsels for appearing before the High Court. He heads the firm’s Litigation Department.
Rovin Kothari is a Chartered Accountant working in the field of indirect taxation with an experience of more than 10 years. He has been part of various firms in the field of indirect taxes like SS Gupta & Co, S R Batliboi & Co, etc. He has been partner in charge of Mumbai operations for a renowned firm ‘Talati and Talati LLP’.
He has been independently appearing before various adjudicating authorities for various tax matters under Excise, Service Tax and GST. He also delivers lectures to various CBIC Officials as well as CA Members on various topics under Service Tax and GST.
